REVIEWS FOR THE SIX BOOKS.
I now have four novels and five novella's on amazon as ebooks and a PAPERBACK version of The Bake Off and, The Girl in the Dark.
Yes Chef, No Chef.
This collection is quite simply DELICIOUS. Pick it up for a chance to dip in and get your appetites - both culinary and romantic! - rolling. Well done.
I see from the description that this is Susan's first novel and I hope it's not her last. She writes a great female lead in Katie and the relationship she builds between Katie and Tim is the perfect balance between realistic and all of the good, soppy romance I want from a novel in this genre. I loved the scene with his parents- very familiar. A great feel good rom com.
Love on a Plate
Often in novels like this where there are multiple characters, the connections between characters are loose and superficial and for me, this can be disruptive. However, this novella's mix of characters worked really well and ended up being a brilliantly fun insight into a small group of people with some lovely characters in Sarah and Mark. This is a sweet and warm novella that I enjoyed from beginning to end.
A Taste of Love is a really witty portrayal of marriage, relationships and second chances. I loved the concept of the book - the idea that a 40-something woman looks for new love and a fresh start. An enjoyable and easy read which I would definitely recommend for reading by the pool or on the beach!
The Bake Off
Susan Willis's latest book takes you behind the scenes of a fictitious TV baking programme. Competitor Nicola struggles with her underwear, her desires and her rivals, but ends up learning about more than just puff pastry. The book ends with three mouth-watering recipes from the competition and is now available in PAPERBACK for those readers without kindles.
